The "World Cow Day" - Participation Guidelines
  1. Free Entry for All
    The "World Cow Day" event will be completely free of charge. No fees shall be levied for attending or hosting the event on any of the selected days. However, optional activities that may involve additional costs (such as cattle feed for cow feeding, participant meals, etc.) may be chargeable, at the sole discretion of the host.
  2. Celebration Days
    The "World Cow Day" is officially observed on 1 September, celebrations begin officially from 15 August to allow flexibility for hosts and participants. The event period will thus run from 15 August to 1 September, concluding on the "World Cow Day".
The "World Cow Day" - Hosting Guidelines:
  1. Hosting Mandatory on 1st September in the event of the "World Cow Day"
    Hosting on 1 September is mandatory for all hosts in observance of the "World Cow Day" celebration.
  2. Communication of Event Schedule
    Hosts are required to clearly communicate their selected days and timings for visits to the participants within their network and ensure proper coordination for smooth participation.
  3. Event Conduct Guidelines
    During the "World Cow Day" celebration, hosts must strictly avoid –
    • Any commercial, communal, or political promotional activity in the name of the "World Cow Day" activities.
    • Racist, caste-based, or biased activities in any form during the event.
    • Branding, advertising, or selling of any commercial brand products using the name of the "World Cow Day".
  4. Permitted Products
    Only cow-based sustainable products that promote health and environmental benefits and align with the spirit of the "World Cow Day" may be showcased or offered, which is at the discretion of the host.
  5. Safety & Crowd Management
    To ensure a safe and well-organized celebration of the World Cow Day, all Event Hosts are requested to kindly follow the guidelines below:
    • Ensure necessary permissions are obtained (if required) in accordance with the legal procedures applicable in their area.
    • Ensure necessary precautions to manage crowds and a smooth flow of visitors.
    • Ensure the safety of all participants, especially senior citizens, pregnant women, children, and persons with disabilities, during their visit to your sanctuary/farm.
    • Ensure the safety of cows, calves, and any other animals present on-site throughout the event, particularly during participant interaction.
  6. Facilities for Participants
    • Ensure basic amenities such as parking areas, restrooms, drinking water, etc. for visitors.
    • Ensure accessibility for senior citizens and persons with disabilities, and assistance when needed.
    • Inform in advance of any potential spot not suitable for participants to enter.
Declaration

The host affirms that they:

  1. Have no involvement in cruelty or slaughter:
    Are not, and will not be, involved in any manner—directly or indirectly—in the cruelty, harm, or slaughter of cows or any other animals.
  2. Do not support or promote activities leading to animal harm:
    Are not engaged in, nor will engage in, the funding, promotion, or trade of beef/meat or any animal parts that contribute to the slaughter or harm of cows or other animals.
  3. Oppose cruelty in dairy practices:
    Do not engage in or support cruel practices related to milk production, including but not limited to, the separation of calves from mothers at birth, forceful impregnation, or unnatural milking practices that cause distress or harm to cows or calves.
  4. Have no criminal history:
    Have not been involved in any criminal activities and have no record of legal violations under the laws of the state or local governing authorities.

By registering as World Cow Day host:

  • You agree with the above-mentioned guidelines and declaration for hosting the event.
  • You are interested in hosting the "World Cow Day" event.
  • You consent to share your sanctuary/farm details (including address, location, and contact information) with participants through the official "World Cow Day" website or associated platforms, for the purpose of event coordination and public engagement.
  • You consent to the use of photos, videos, and content shared by you on your official social media handles during the "World Cow Day" event for the promotion of the "World Cow Day" initiatives, with appropriate credit where applicable.
  • You agree to the Disclaimer for the event.
